ACCOUNTANTS EARNS MORE IN MUPL

School of BBM registered their first victory as they humbled the tough Moi University Staff side at Ngeria by a goal. The goal from Cosmos Osoro triumphed the accountants reviving their spirit in the competition. Their win was also actualized by a good turnout of fans from the school.

On Monday, the School of Human Resource Development walloped the School of Arts at the pavilion grounds beating them by a 3-0 margin. Billy scored a brace with their Captain Guti adding an emphatic goal in the second half. The School of Arts will have to contend with the two agonizing defeats as they face BBM on Monday 26th September, 2011.

The Muso Sports Director Brian Mukolwe has urged more comrades to support the tournament by attending the matches and fully participating in this noble cause. He also hinted that an undisclosed number of animals will be slaughtered for the champions.

“The winning team will not go empty handed. Plans are already underway to look for the animals. We have identified two people who will be supplying the animals.” said Mukolwe.

The league leader’s, the Information Scientists, will today face the School of Education at the Pavilion grounds (Ngeria) at 4.30 pm. The unbeaten side will look to extend their winning spree in the ongoing tournament. They will depend heavily on the Moi University’s Premier League top scorer Edwin Ouma who boasts of 5 goals. The IS team has 6 points and are now joint leaders (depending on today’s outcome) with the School of Business.

The rugby team to host a tournament

The Rugby School Team, the Arsonists, is expecting to host a 3-on-3 side event at the Rugby pitch (Kizito Ground). Speaking to The 3rd Eye early this week, a player in the team said that the tournament would also encompass the fans apart from the players. The tournament will be held on the 3rd of October
